Bad credit remedied fast!

Closing a credit card will make your credit score look bad!

How closing a credit card can impact on your credit score?
In a positive way, of course, wouldn't you say? Well, it that's your answer, you're wrong. Actually, closing a credit card that you've been using for a period of few years is detrimental. Why? Because you're removing from your credit history a long-term positive history. This will reduce your points substantially, with you actually doing nothing agains the rules of financial discipline.

Similarly, if you want to reduce the number of credit cards that you have, don't close them at once, and lump the balance into one card. Doing so will drive that card's balance to its limit, indicating that you're credit starved. Not a good position to be, for the credit monitoring agencies!
